This policy explains what information is collected when you use goldratecalculator.com. In short: very little.
What we don't collect
- There are no accounts, and no sign-up is needed.
- The weights, purities and offers you type into the calculator are not sent to us. The math runs in your browser.
- We don't run advertising or advertising trackers.
What is stored on your device
The site remembers your payout percentage and preferred weight unit using your browser's local storage, so they're still set next time. This stays on your device. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Guide feedback
If you answer "Was this guide helpful?", we store which guide it was, your yes or no, and the time. Nothing that identifies you is stored with it.
Share links
When you copy a share link or save a quote, your calculator entries are included in the link itself. Anyone you send the link to can see them. We don't store a copy.
Hosting and security
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Prices
Live prices are fetched by our server from gold-api.com. Your browser doesn't connect to the price provider directly.
Contacting us
If you email us, we use your email address only to reply.
Changes
If we add features that collect information, such as email price alerts, we'll update this page before they go live.
